Israel’s Quandary — Asleep In a Self-Induced Coma
So sad for our friends. So sad for us all.
The moment the first news reports landed, I reached out to a friend in Israel. He and his family were unharmed by Hamas’ sneak attack.
Thank goodness.
Within the hour he shared the following:
A friend was badly injured.
He’s still under induced coma following surgery. They live in a kibbutz across from Gaza. Their home was probably one of the first houses stormed. The family was inside the bomb shelter, but those [home] busters were trying to get it open so they could shoot them all. He was able to block them from entering, but the door handle got exploded in his hands.
[It was] 8 hours until his wife was able to get military personnel to evacuate him. Under fire. And it’s still not over. Fighting continues in that kibbutz right now…
Don’t expect any good news from here for the foreseeable future.
The videos he sent hours later were not the ones found on CNN. So personal. So awful.
