The problem with the middle path

I am sad.

Shocked, really.

My Medium feed had not offered me a Jessica Wildfire story in a few days so I typed in the search field: J-e-s-s-i-c-a.

To no surprise, the right Jessica appeared at the top and I clicked, curious to see the latest Wildfire story.

Wham!

It hit me like a Harry Potter boggart jumping out of the closet.
